In the 1980s Zanotti launched his footwear brand, focussing solely on women’s shoes and stilettos. The unique style which Zanotti created was new to the industry. His designs began to be recognized for the genius use of ornate crystals, stones and baroque looking heels. By the mid-1990s Zanotti traveled to New York City to present his collection to an elite group of fashion editors and retailers.

The infamous New York City department stores; Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Barneys New York were among the first famous few to buy his collections. Giuseppe Zanotti opened his first flagship store in the fashion city of Milan Italy in the year 2000. By 2016 Giuseppe Zanotti celebrated the opening of their 100th store which was opened in Shanghai.
